Job Title: Conservation Landscaping Crew Lead

Pay: $24+/hour (based on experience & qualifications (e.g. CDL)
Schedule: 35-40 hours per week, seasonally March- December. Part time in winter.

Job Responsibilities

  • As a crew lead you are in charge of the daily operations of your crew of 2-4 and capable of independently performing a wide range of tasks. Initially this role will be a mix of construction and maintenance, with the plan to tilt one way or the other eventually.

  • Be a natural leader and champion of company culture. Knowledge of native and sustainable landscaping practices is preferred.

  • Able to operate small equipment, trailers, and hand tools commonly used in landscaping.

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and vehicle and proactively maintain company equipment.

  • Provide excellent customer service and always represent Bee Kind professionally.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have a variety of landscaping experience.

  • Enjoys working outdoors and in hands-on environments.

  • Has a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

  • Is interested in native plants, conservation, and ecological landscaping (experience is a plus but not required if you are trainable).

  • Can work independently and as part of a small crew (we usually work two person crews, sometimes three).

  • Is comfortable with physical labor and working in all weather conditions.

  • Holds a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Schedule

  • Flexible Schedule: 3-5 days per week, no OT. No Sundays. We strive for a 4x10 type schedule when weather allows.

  • Seasonal work: Primary work season runs from March through December, with possible winter opportunities in our land management business. We do not plow snow.
